Double protection

The NetFree filtering system provides double protection,
both on the Internet provider and the computer,
using a program that blocks the ability of access to any Internet connection not filtered by the NetFree filtering system.

Human photo filtering

NetFree employs non-Jewish workers to screen the photos real time,
24 hours a day. Photos that were screened in the past do not need to be screened again.

Personal profile

With NetFree you can set up the filtering in a manner suitable for your personal needs.
A new interface, a combination of several programs, enables the specification of profiles which include blocking access to sites according to a list or key words, as well as the opening or blocking of the profiles during specific days or hours.

Rabbinical supervision

NetFree is closely and continuously supervised by a rabbinical committee in order to ensure full protection.
Many communal committees are familiar with NetFree and recommend this system as the best screening for those requiring access to the Internet.

About NetFree

NetFree was established out of recognition of the fact that Internet filtering is Pikuach Nefesh, a life saver by all means.
Our goal is that each and every God fearing Jew, requiring access to the Internet, should be able to surf the web safely with no danger!

NetFree is a nonprofit association.

NetFree uses the most advanced technology devices which provide the ability to access a wide range of sites, with high standard internal filtering.
NetFree filters the unwanted parts within any specific site while maintaining the original presentation of the site. Improper photos are blurred in a pleasant manner which does not disturb the surfing experience.
Many resources were invested in developing the technology and the development continues non-stop in order to achieve the highest possible screening level and to enable the opening of additional sites which have had no solution until today.

How does the filter work?

NetFree users enjoy a wide range of sites that have already been screened.
A site that was not screened yet will be screened upon request.
All requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Every site requested by NetFree is categorized according to its level:

  • Full access to sites that have no problematic issues and no improper photos,
    such as Charedi sites, religious sites, etc.
  • Automatic word screening to sites that may contain improper contents.
  • Personal photo screening of sites that may contain improper photos.
    These sites have an option to report on any photo which was not properly screened by tabs which appear on the right site of the site.
  • Total blocking for sites of improper contents.

As soon as a user accesses a site that was categorized for the photo screening, all the photos contained in the site are automatically sent to the system for screening. The photos are screened by non- Jewish employees, in most cases within a few seconds.
After the photos have been screened once, the non-problematic photos are available to all users.


In order to screen the text, we have developed a robot that automatically recognizes improper wording. The robot censors the improper sentences.
In cases of extended improper text, the system will block the entire page.

Innovative Features

A program for laptops

We have launched a program for laptops.
The program blocks the ability to connect to wireless networks that do not have NetFree screening.
This program must be activated on laptops as they have the risk of connecting to wireless network with no screening.

Personal settings

The sites available by NetFree can be reduced by request.
Each NetFree customer can setup a personal screening profile and define his own account: a black or white list or the access or blocking of sites according to key words.
In addition, you can define access or blocking during certain days and hours.

In order to maintain the personal profile, you may lock your personal settings either by a password, or by the communication committee that have connected to NetFree. You may also transfer the control over the setting to the committee.
